The Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU is currently seeking an established investigator to be the Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and to lead a division of 8 faculty. We seek a motivated clinician-teacher interested in developing junior faculty and steering the continued growth of a dynamic pediatric intensive care unit in an academic setting. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care. Preference will be given to candidates with well-developed scholarly/research portfolios that complement and expand existing expertise.
The Children’s Hospital of Richmond is a multi-specialty hospital that serves as a tertiary and quaternary care center to the children of central Virginia and beyond. Candidate responsibilities will include inpatient management of children admitted to the 20-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and close cooperation with other services including the pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center, ECMO center, surgical services, and nursing staff.
The candidate will work collaboratively with the residency program directors and medical student clerkship directors to meet the educational needs of the core and subspecialty residents and medical students. There is a well-established and very competitive fellowship in PCCM.
The candidate will be offered a full-time faculty appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
