We are seeking a Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. The division has 6 pediatric pulmonologists, 4 fellows, 2 nurse practitioners, 3 nurses and the other members of the multidisciplinary team. The division has an active cystic fibrosis center, sleep center and is a member of the pediatric pulmonary center (PPC) training program. The outpatient clinics include CF, sleep, severe asthma, neuromuscular disorders, trach/vent, and the fellows participate in general pediatric continuity as well as specialty clinics. There is excellent communication and collaboration with other pediatric subspecialties in both in- and out-patient settings.
The Shands Hospital for Children at UF represents a quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida and is highly ranked nationally. The Department of Pediatrics has 125 faculty members with more than 50,000 outpatient visits per year and treats 4,000 inpatients annually. Gainesville is a charming city and is home to the University of Florida. With many outdoor attractions and activities, Gainesville consistently ranks among the best cities to live in and has an outstanding school system.
