We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Nurse Manager to oversee the 24-hour management of our 30-bed unit primarily Ortho Amputee with occasional neuro and cardio-pulmonary patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for organizational planning, and the clinical rehab nursing practice which includes assessing, planning, implementing and supervising patient care and professional growth. Supervises 40-50 employees on day, evening and night shifts. Collaborates with other professional disciplines in developing and implementing clinical rehabilitation programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Strong clinical, leadership, and management skills. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Good interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationship. High level of initiative and creative problem-solving ability. Patient assessment skills. Public speaking skills. Research skills. Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner. Ability to instruct/teach/tutor. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in nursing required, Masters Preferred. New York State Registered Professional Nurse License required. CRRN preferred (Required to obtain as soon as eligible) BLS/ACLS certified. Progressive experience in clinical rehabilitation nursing and nursing management. House Supervisor on weekends every eight weeks.
