RN Interventional Cath Lab PRN Rotating

Responsible for the medication administration, security of medication, and reconciliation of medications. Performs accurate documentation and knowledge in Interventional/Cardiac cath Lab. Able to identify anatomy and can demonstrate accurate assessment skills based upon the area of the body the procedure is performed, to include but not limited to cardiac, peripheral, abdominal, etc. Proficient with the use of a balloon pump, hemodynamic monitoring, glucometer, infusion pump, etc.
Responsible for post-procedural care and monitoring patients in Imaging Services. Responsible for the assessment and insertion of PICC lines for patients requiring an intravenous access device. Responsibility also includes coordinating the process through communication with primary care nurses and providing education and care and maintenance of PICC lines.
