The North East Primary Care Practice located in North East, MD is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team!

Having served the local community for over 30 years, this well established, patient-friendly and busy Primary Care practice seeks a highly motivated Medical Assistant. The candidate would provide support to two providers, one MD and one NP.

The work schedule would be Monday-Friday only with hours fluctuating between 8:00-4:30, and 8:30-5:00 (usually 2 days a week, dependent upon doctors and patients schedule.)

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

  • 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred

Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:

  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
