The Rewards Staffing PRN LVN performs assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of an RN/Physician. Some of the essential functions of the PRN LVN role is as follows:
  • Conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. 
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, including, but not limited to, nursing sensitive indicators and evidence-based practices.
  • Creates a compassionate, supportive, safe and therapeutic environment for patients/families and staff, while maintaining appropriate boundaries. 
  • Recognizes, appreciates and incorporates unique differences of patient/family into an individualized plan of care and delivers care in a nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory manner. 
  • Preserves and protects the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity and rights of patient and family. 
  • Integrates patient and family education throughout the delivery of care.  Helps to reinforce patients and families to learn what they need to successfully transition within the health care environment, including changes in level of care and discharge to home or other facility. 
  • Works collaboratively and interdependently, involving intra- and inter-disciplinary work with colleagues and community.  Embraces true collaboration as an ongoing process and invests in its development to ensure a sustained culture of collaboration.
The ideal candidate for the Rewards Staffing PRN LVN is experienced, accountable, team-oriented, detail-oriented, and ethical; is a high performer, a good problem solver and strategic thinker; and has excellent verbal and written communication skills, deals effectively with change and uncertainty, and applies sound judgement.

  • HS Diploma / GED equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience required
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire required
