Nurse (Emergency Department)
The incumbent practices as a RN in the Emergency Department (ED) located in the Inpatient and Emergency Services Division (IESD), VA Portland HCS. The Emergency Department (ED) is a Level II facility providing urgent and emergency care to eligible Veterans. Staff provides triage and nursing care for a patient population which includes: cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, diabetes, substance abuse, psychiatric and minor trauma. The RN is accountable as a primary nurse for a defined group of patients for the entire episode of care. Based on education and experiences, may be assigned responsibility as a preceptor, charge nurse or unit shift leader. Work Schedule: Varies; shifts may include: 0500-1700, 0700-1900, 0900-2100, 1200-2400, 1400-2400, 1700-0500. Financial Disclosure Report:
