Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgery physician to join our team located in Boise, Idaho.
SAMG is a physician led and accountable 500+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the group as part of an integrated CT Surgery team and program. SAMG, with primary and specialty care providers at 70 clinic locations, are also members of the Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance, a network of over 1,400 employed and independent providers.
The CT surgery program is a three surgeon practice with six APPs and four perfusionists who work together with an experienced staff on a dedicated floor that houses both the 10-bed dedicated CVICU (for prep and recovery) and the CVORs. The surgeons also enjoy a CVOR containing 3 dedicated rooms. Our surgeons performed over 300 heart surgeries and over 150 lung surgeries (including robotics) this past fiscal year. The program participates in the STS Registry and aggressively benchmarks performance as part of an ever-vigilant quality and outcomes improvement program.
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Surgeon who specializes in adult cardiac surgery. A specialty interest in any of the following is preferable: complex coronary expertise, ECMO, postoperative management, valve repair or replacement, minimally invasive surgery, or complex aortic surgery. Thoracic surgery, atrial fibrillation is also part of the expertise we currently have. We are willing to consider exceptional recent graduates, although experience is preferred. Call for this opportunity is 1:3.
Saint Alphonsus Health System is served by an employed 19 physician cardiology group and one independent cardiologist. Alongside the Boise and Nampa cardiologists, the CT Surgeons participate with hospital administration in co-managing the cardiovascular service line as part of the Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute.
