The newly established Hakeem Lab provides an exciting research program in the area of immune responses against chronic viral infection and cancer. The Fellow will study different factors shaping the epigenetic landscape of exhausted T cells (Tex) during chronic viral infections, mainly HCV, but could be extended in the future to include other viral infections such as HIV.
