The heart transplant program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital is among the largest in the Midwest. The Lurie Children’s is the largest pediatric heart transplant program in Illinois. Combined, the two programs perform over 60 heart transplants annually, and are ranked consistently in top Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery program
