The qualified applicant will have demonstrated accomplishment in leadership and excellence in education. A record of academic scholarship with productivity in research as documented by publications in peer reviewed journals and independent grant funding is preferred. VA Portland’s affiliation with OHSU offers substantial research opportunities in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, and protected time for academic work is available for qualified faculty. Responsibilities of the position include leadership and management of the clinical, research and administrative activities of the Section, the education and training of residents, fellows, and medical students, and caring for patients in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings.
