Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, resident education, and research. Candidates must have completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship, be board certified/board eligible and be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above. The candidate will have an opportunity to build a robust clinical practice encompassing all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology, to teach residents and medical students, and to develop a successful research program. The position offers the opportunity to expand this highly ranked program at the Rush main campus and regional sites that will help support the growth of the Rush University Pediatric Otolaryngology Program. Candidates would take part in robust multidisciplinary clinical programs, including the first comprehensive pediatric aerodigestive clinic in the state of Illinois, while also having the opportunity to grow programs including, but not limited to, airway reconstruction, sleep, and head and neck masses. The Section supports a busy, 72-bed Level 3 (highest IL designation) NICU, an 18-bed PICU with 24/7 coverage by pediatric intensivists, and a general pediatric unit at the main campus.
The Otolaryngology department has 17 faculty, 5 APPs, and 8 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and four regional sites. The department is planning to add four new faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites with its ongoing clinical expansion. The program is currently ranked #34 on US News and World Report and is the highest ranked program in the state of Illinois.
