Overview
Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem Certified Medical Assistant to join the Pulmonary & Allergy Associates team in Summit and/or Cedar Knolls. Monday through Friday hours.
CCMA certification through NAHP, AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NCCT, or NHA required
Responsibilities
Essential Functions of Certfiied Medical Assistant:
The Per Diem Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will perform clinical as well as administrative functions i.e. managing patient flow, vital signs, patient intake
Certified Medical Assistant will also be rooming of patients, assisting physician as needed, cleaning and re-stocking rooms
CMA, Per Diem, PD Certified Medical Assistant will be ordering supplies and maintaining exam rooms, as well as registering and scheduling patients in practice management system
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma required for CMA
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Qualifications/Requirements:
CCMA certification through NAHP, AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NCCT, or NHA required
Two years medical office experience preferred
EMR experience desired
Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential
Ability travel to different practices in the Chilton and Morristown Medical Center areas
Ability to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours
Position may require working one evening shift per week and/or one weekend shift per month
