Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist for the outstanding Respiratory Therapy Department at Morristown Medical Center to work nights (7:30p- 7am) and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Set-up and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation.
Fits PAP patients with the appropriate mask type and size according to physicians orders or best fit.
Ensures parameters of O2 treatment is optimum.
Observes all equipment and verifies it is functioning properly, is able to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Updates patients records with all essential information, creates notes, completes orders, and access physicians prescriptions.
Observes all HIPAA and JCAHO regulations and standards regarding protected health information and patient services.
Frequently communicates with patients in person as well as on the phone answering questions accurately and professionally during pre-scheduled times
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program required
Bachelor's Degree, highly preferred
Minimum Experience:
1-2 years of RT experience preferred
Critical care experience, highly preferred.
Current or past experience with EPIC charting, highly preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), required.
Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey, required.
Advanced and Basic Life Support certification, required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bilingual preferred
Ability to use email and wireless communication devices efficiently
Must be able to work in a clinical setting as necessary - this includes sitting, standing, walking, carrying necessary inventory at varying intervals
