This position is assigned to the Pathology & Laboratory Service located at the Atlanta VA Health Care System in Decatur, Georgia. The Lead Histopathology Technologist may lead other histopathology technicians & technologists in the performance of daily histopathology work. The Lead Histopathology technologist independently performs a full range of specialized tests, applying histopathology techniques & broad scientific principles from the fields of biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
