The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is an advanced practice nurse who utilizes specialized clinical skills and education to administer anesthesia care throughout the medical center. The practice of nurse anesthesia is a recognized specialty within the profession of nursing. As independently licensed health professionals, CRNAs are responsible and accountable for their practice.
