The Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care, Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Madison is seeking a Transplant Pulmonologist to join our Lung Transplant program /Advanced Pulmonary Service.

We are affiliated with the William S Middleton Memorial VA- the oldest transplant center in the VA and currently the most active.
We are recognized as a Care Center by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Pulmonary Hypertension Association, and Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation; and have an active ECMO program.
We have the shortest wait list times in the region with waitlist mortality below the national average and a long history of exceptional patient outcomes.
Planning is under way for an expanded, state-of-the-art transplant clinic at UW Hospital.
Rich opportunities to collaborate on research studies of transplant rejection, tolerance, and interstitial lung diseases.
This position will have clinical responsibilities including:
Provision of care (inpatient and outpatient) for patients with Advanced Pulmonary Disease and Lung Transplant in the UW Health and VA hospital and clinics.
Evaluation of patients for lung transplant listing
Additional areas of potential clinical involvement include interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, general pulmonary disease, and critical care.
Opportunity to serve as Associate Director for the Lung Transplant Program based on qualifications.
Participate in teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students.

Qualifications:
MD/ DO or equivalent, eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License
BE/BC in Pulmonary and CC Medicine with added experience/training in Lung Transplant and other Advanced Pulmonary Diseases patients are required.
