Dayton Children’s Hospital, located in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a 6th pediatric pulmonologist to join our expanding services. Successful candidates must be board certified/board eligible in pediatric pulmonary medicine and hold an unrestricted Ohio medical license. This is a full time, employed position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The area’s Regional Cystic Fibrosis Center is located at Dayton Children’s. This center is a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) designated Therapeutic Development Center (TDC), operating within the acclaimed CFF Therapeutic Development Network (TDN) nationwide network of CF research centers. Our department has a vibrant home ventilator program, a neuromuscular program as well as an active aero-digestive program. A fully functioning diagnostics lab complements our ambulatory clinic. Our staff provides comprehensive pulmonary care to children in our service area. For 4 out of the last 5 years, our pulmonary division ranked as a Best Children’s Hospital in theU.S. News & World Report annual survey.
Our Pulmonary Medicine Care team presently includes 5 pediatric pulmonologists, pulmonary nurses, a social worker, psychologist, nutritionist, pharmacist, and respiratory therapists. All team members are specially trained and experienced in treating children, adolescents and young adults.
Dayton Children’s is a freestanding children’s hospital with more than 35 pediatric specialties. The hospital is a designated Level 1 pediatric trauma center. We serve a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. In 2022, Forbes named Dayton Children’s a Best In-State Employer! In March 2023, we will be opening a new specialty care center at our main campus! It’s just across the walkway from the main hospital. The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine department of pediatrics and its residency program are based at Dayton Children’s.
