Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the North Jersey Thoracic Surgical team at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center, with an outpatient practice in Clark, New Jersey. The surgical and nursing staff of North Jersey Thoracic Surgical Associates comprises an outstanding team of board-certified surgical experts in the latest non-invasive techniques of clinical practice.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will need to have experience working in an acute care environment with experience in the following critical specialties - Medical/Surgical, Post Anesthesia Care, Endoscopy, Critical Care and Palliative care/IP Hospice. Nurse Practitioners in this practice must be able to efficiently analyze a patient's medical/surgical history and have a more than basic understanding of radiology including reading chest x-rays and cat scans. The NP must maintain a flexible schedule as the role may include evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
Master's degree is required
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
BLS certification is required
Adult health and/or critical care focus preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience as an NP is preferred
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
