The role you’ll contribute:
The Cardiopulmonary Services Director ensures the provision of departments in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change. The Director is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of the Respiratory Therapy, EKG, Sleep Center, and EEG departments.

Provides leadership to achieve desired outcomes for the department and organization
Delegates appropriately and effectively and sets clear expectations.
Promotes a positive, motivating environment supportive of staff retention.
Coordinates the interview process, orientation, and mentorship of all employees.
Coordinates staffing schedules for staff.
Develops and updates departmental policies and procedures.
Ensures competency based practice to enhance the quality of patient care being delivered.
Uses established outcomes measures to evaluate the effectiveness of care.
Monitors compliance with standards of care by observation, verbal reports and written documentation, and regularly gives feedback and assists in the development of action plans to increase compliance and implement change to correct identified deficiencies.
Evaluates staff documentation compliance with required elements.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Graduation from a program approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoArc) or a successor accrediting authority
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care, health care and/or human resource management
5 or more years of respiratory care experience
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of Texas
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s Degree
7 or more years of acute care experience
ACLS, NRP certification or credentialed as ACCS, NPS by NBRC
Active AARC & TSRC Membership
