The Cleveland Clinic Respiratory Institute announces its search for an individual to lead the Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis Program, in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. The Cleveland Clinic Adult Cystic Fibrosis program is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a founding member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Lung Transplant Consortium. The program is also a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutic Development Network (TDN) and it participates in observational and interventional research.
The Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis Program will have both clinical and administrative experience working in an established CF and/or Bronchiectasis program for at least 3-5 years. The Cleveland Clinic has a strong, experienced, fully staffed multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality clinical care. The team is active in quality improvement, which is considered a cornerstone of the center. The program has grown tremendously over the last 5 years to 200 patients from the local area and throughout the world. The Director will oversee the continued clinical growth of the program throughout the region and utilize telehealth to provide care to patients throughout the US. Other interests are welcomed, including preclinical research, education and critical care medicine. The successful candidate will mentor junior faculty in the clinical care and research associated with these programs. The director will work closely with our colleagues in lung transplantation, pediatrics, infectious disease, and other clinical departments at the Cleveland Clinic.
The Department is particularly interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The successful candidate will also be nominated for a faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University at a rank commensurate with experience of Associate or Full Professor level. CCLCM is a five-year program that trains medical students to become physician investigators, integrating basic science, research and clinical medicine.
