Clinical Lab Scientist - Lab

SUMMARY: The Clinical Lab Scientist I (CLS) is accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses on blood and various body fluids to obtain data on which a diagnosis of health or disease can be made and appropriate therapy initiated. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, histopathology, and point of care testing (POCT).

The Clinical Lab Scientist II (CLS) is Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses at a highly proficient level and serves as a resource to coworkers for complex problem solving within the scope of the procedures performed in the laboratory. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, point of care testing (POCT) and histopathology. Participates in the CLS Training Program as opportunities arise. Functions as section in-charge and/or CLS In-Charge of the laboratory when supervisors are not present.

Clinical Lab Scientist I

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements. CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist license is required and a Minimum one (1) year full-time clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Clinical Lab Scientist II

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements. CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist license is required. A minimum two (2) years Full-time equivalent clinical laboratory experience is required. A minimum one (1) year Full-time equivalent clinical experience in pediatric preferred. A minimum five (5) years Increasing knowledge, skills, and responsibilities preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period.

PAY RANGE: $40.85 - $64.00
