A leading Colorado Health System is actively recruiting for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join their medical staff. This is an attractive Hospital Employment opportunity to associate with an impressive 350 Bed Regional Trauma Center and enjoy a busy, full-time practice with a mix of 70% cardiac and 30% thoracic cases!
The new Cardiothoracic Surgeon’s practice will include 70% cardiac and 30% thoracic cases and they need to be skilled in robotics and open capabilities, CABG valve repair/replacement and dissections. The new CT Surgeon should also have experience in minimally invasive valve surgery, off-pump coronary bypass, arrhythmia surgery, surgery for complex valvular heart disease and heart failure, mitral valve repair, thoracic artic surgery, thoracoscopic lung resection and mediastinal surgery.
With a full-spectrum caseload of Adult Cardiac and General Thoracic Surgeries, the new CT Surgeon will work with 3 experienced CT Physician Assistants in the practice and have full collaborative support from the Health System’s well-established Cardiology and Interventional Vascular Groups. The new CT Surgeon will see an average of 100 CABG’s, 120 Surgical Valves and 50+ TAVR’s annually and a flexible Call schedule, with additional compensation for Call.
The Hospital provides care to a growing 400,000-person service area and draws patients from14 counties throughout Southern Colorado. They have excellent surgical services and full Cardiac Anesthesia support, including two Xi da Vinci Robots, a dedicated CVOR and Hybrid Operating room, Valve clinic and TAVR Program support. The Hospital also features cutting-edge surgical equipment, 12 OR suites and a closed 24 Bed ICU and Neuro Trauma ICU, including (2) ER facilities that see more than 80,000 ER visits annually.
The Hospital is partnering with UC Health and they are expanding their services. They have recently opened a new state-of-the-art Orthopedic Hospital, as well as a new Cancer Center on the Hospital campus. Additionally, the Hospital is affiliated with a Colorado Medical School and they have an active Internal Medicine Residency Program in town, along with three Fellowship Programs for Gastroenterology, Cardiology and for Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine.
