The role you’ll contribute:
Under general supervision, is responsible for the Diagnostic XR workflow to assure efficient operation. Performs imaging of Diagnostic XR exams following the AdventHealth protocols. Develops knowledge and competency of technologists and students by overseeing image quality and providing technical imaging support. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Performs all exams, on all types of patients: Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP) and Emergency Department (ED) using FH XR protocols. Properly screens patient for contrast allergies.
Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s.
Utilizes the knowledge of a full range of imaging procedures and equipment in assigned department. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patient of all ages; adapts protocols as necessary.
Helps to develop knowledge and competency of technologists and students; may serve as clinical instructor to the XR students.
Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Maintains properly stocked, organized and clean room.
Reviews images on NX station for evidence and accuracy of RT/LT marker placement, proper orientation, positioning, contrast and spatial resolution, repeating images as necessary for best possible result; assists others in these decisions.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
2 years experience as Rad Tech in hospital setting
Florida Department of Health – General Radiographer
ARRT ( R )
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge of ER, OR and Fluoroscopic imaging procedures (Preferred)
Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions (Preferred)
