Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Twin Falls is seeking an Exercise Physiologist - Entry to join our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab team.
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, assess patients needs, risk areas, ability to perform the physical activity and follow instructions. Perform graded exercise tests. Perform exercise/mobility prescription.
- Under direct supervision, responsible for training and demonstrating appropriate exercise techniques and equipment usage. Monitor electrocardiogram (ECG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation and observe patients for both appropriate and inappropriate responses to physical activity, during and following the activity. Advance exercise prescription as appropriate utilizing strength training and cardiovascular training.
- Provide complex and comprehensive case management to patient load. Documents patient's progress to supervising physicians.
- Provide lifestyle/risk factor modification education. Discuss follow-up care with patient and caregivers.
- Provide feedback to senior staff on individual patient performance during the exercise session to assist in documentation and exercise progression.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.

- Licenses/Certifications: Current CPR/first responder certification.
