Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) in St Petersburg, Florida, is recruiting a Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. The chief will lead the division’s clinical and educational services as well as provide leadership to our growing pediatric pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis programs. JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital, recently ranked by the U.S. News & World Report (2022-2023) in four pediatric specialties and the #1 Children’s Hospital in Tampa Bay.
The pulmonology program at JHACH (currently 5 pediatric pulmonologists and 2 APRNs) treats newborns to young adults with acute and chronic respiratory disorders and supports patients from initial diagnosis to the transition to adult care. Our team provides diagnostic and laboratory testing, and offers a wide range of services, education, support and advanced treatment options for both inpatients and outpatients. Our pulmonology program is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a Cystic Fibrosis Care Center, serving as a center of excellence for clinical care, research and multidisciplinary support for CF patients. Our program is also a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-designated Therapeutic Development Center, one of only 80 centers worldwide specializing in clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new therapies.
JHACH is the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system. We stand at the forefront of discovery, leading innovative research to cure and prevent childhood diseases while training the next generation of pediatric experts. In addition to providing clinical care, participation in research will be strongly encouraged.
The ideal candidate will be a strong clinician/academician who is interested in incorporating both into their practice. You will work within a dynamic academic environment located on an expanding clinical campus in St. Petersburg. Qualified candidates are eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (academic rank is open and commensurate with experience).
Tampa-St. Petersburg is a premier place to work and live, offering year-round sunshine, abundant cultural and recreational activities, sports venues, and excellent schools. JHACH is centrally located to many of Florida's amenities, only minutes from the beautiful gulf beaches, two hours from Orlando, and four hours from Miami.
