Nemours Children's Health is seeking BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to work in a 6-bed medical/surgical PICU closed unit at HCA Florida West, in a collaborative team environment growing pediatric support for the Florida panhandle of HCA hospitals.

Opportunity Includes:

• 24/7 Pediatric ER
• 12 general peds beds covered by hospitalists
• Average PICU daily census of 2-3 with active sedation service
• Dedicated pediatric nursing
• Full complement of ancillary services

Our physicians enjoy excellent subspecialty support including 24/7 coverage for: cardiology, pulmonology, endocrine, orthopedics, ENT, GI, neurology, rheumatology, and radiology. Additional support is provided by private practice neurology as well as available tele-health for infectious disease, nephrology, hematology, and neurosurgery.

Flexible Work Schedule:

• 4hr shifts
• One week on/one week off
• In-house hours roughly 9a-3p, but flexible
• Round on PICU patients and provide sedation coverage M-F
• Home call with average of coming in at night once per week on service weeks
• Complete schedule flexibility for specific days or weeks off to maximize time with family

Academic clinical appointments are available through both The University of Central Florida and the Florida State University College of Medicine. Research opportunities exist for interested applicants and as well as teaching opportunities at every level.
