Job Description
Sloan Kettering Institute and Department of Medicine
Jennifer K. Lue, MD and Jayanta Chaudhuri, PhD
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY
Dr. Lue is a physician-scientist and maintains an active practice as a medical oncologist treating patients with lymphoid malignancies. Dr. Chaudhuri is a Professor in the Immunology Program at Sloan Kettering Institute whose lab studies the mechanism of immunoglobulin gene diversification. Together, they are recruiting a post-doctoral scientist with a strong interest in basic and translational research focused on the use of novel protein degraders against IRAK4 and IMiD substrates in B-cell malignancies. Mechanistic studies using standard molecular biology assays, bioinformatics, as well as mouse modeling are core to the research program.
- Candidates should have a strong molecular and tumor biology background with a particular interest in lymphoid malignancies. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with investigators with expertise in lymphoma biology, immunology, translational therapeutics and have a potential exposure to correlative studies associated with clinical trials.
- PhD or MD/PhD equivalent in biological science is required.
- Proficiency with molecular biology, biochemistry, mice models, RNA-seq, biospecimen handling, DNA, RNA, and protein assays is required.
