Pulmonary and Critical Care Medical ICU Faculty Physician
The Division of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine in conjunction with the Institute of Critical Care Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking an academic board certified/eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician for its medical ICU faculty.
The Mount Sinai Hospital is the quaternary care hospital for the Mount Sinai Health System, serving a diverse population of patients. Our ACGME accredited fellowship program in Pulmonary and Critical Care attracts some of the best fellows from across the country. Academic appointments are through the Icahn School of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the country. Interested candidate must have a good track record in teaching and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students. Academic area of interest and a focus on research is a plus.
Our Medical ICU is a closed unit run by a dedicated multidisciplinary care team including medical residents, critical care and palliative care fellows and attendings, nurse practitioners, nurses, ICU pharmacists, social workers, nutritionists, physical and respiratory therapists, among others. We offer all the services of a high functioning ICU including VV ECMO, percutaneous tracheostomies, transesophageal ECHO among other essential critical care services. As part of the Institute of Critical Care Medicine for the Mount Sinai Health System, we collaborate with all the other specialty ICUs such as the neurosurgical, cardiac, cardiothoracic, transplant, and surgical ICUs. Although we are seeking application for a dedicated critical care physician, there are opportunities to also work in our national ranked, state-of-the-art Pulmonary and Sleep Division for the right candidate.

Position Qualifications: • Medical degree from an accredited university • New York State Medical License • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine • Committed to Mount Sinai’s vision and the communities it serves • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills • Respectfully collaborate and build relationships with a diverse set of teammates
