Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
Objective: Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team. Works in inpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.
Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Full time
Average 40 hours per week, over a month. Combination of weekdays and weekends
M-F hours (primarily 8-4)
Weekend hours (primarily 8-2), working roughly every 4th weekend
Work two holidays per year
Evenings or nights unlikely for the foreseeable future but possible as the practice grows and needs change
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Primary focus is on but not entirely limited to, caring for critical care patients
See new patient consults and round on existing patients
Perform physical exams
Provide timely, thorough and appropriate documentation
Interact with families, physicians, nurses and other hospital staff
Order medications, diagnostic tests, therapeutic interventions, and request appropriate consultations
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited school
Maintenance of national recognized certification
Current MN license
BCLS/ACLS certificate required
Strong leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
