Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is the newest addition to the Penn State Health system. It's a 341,000-square-foot acute care hospital, that is already enhancing a vibrant network of primary and specialty care providers across Lancaster County. This BRAND NEW hospital features 134 private inpatient beds, an emergency department, physician offices, various specialty inpatient services, an imaging lab, and complete medical and surgical capabilities. JOB SUMMARY: 

Leads and participates in the day-to-day activities of the Respiratory Services Department and monitors the general activities of its satellites. Monitors, evaluates, and coaches Registered Respiratory Therapists daily performance and productivity. Adjusts staffing levels according to the Respiratory Clinical Information System (RCIS) crewing guide.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment required.

Current BLS certification.

Current certification in ACLS.

Two (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist.

One Active Specialty Credential (NPS, ACCS, C-NPT, AE-C, C-PFT, RPFT, PALS, or NRP).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

ACLS and PALS certification
