Position Summary:
As the Operations Manager, you will manage one or more groups conducting/supporting Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I) endpoints to ensure work is completed by established deadlines in compliance with SOPs, GxPs and regulatory agency guidelines. The primary responsibilities are focused on ensuring successful operation of broadly defined core functional areas such as personnel management, business development, and employee engagement. Collaboration with senior leadership on the development of strategies to enhance the efficiency, development, and effectiveness of the operational groups, and participation in overall decision making as a member of the global management team of the I&I department are hallmarks of this role.

Other Essential Duties:
Responsible for the effective operation of the I&I laboratories: overseeing all technical, regulatory and supervisory duties across all platforms within I&I.
Plans, schedules and organizes necessary resources for study conduct and assignments.
Responsible for the overall management of the Immunology and Immunotoxicology laboratory.
Ensures staff conduct all work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and specifically those regulations (GxP) specified in the study plans, protocols, or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved.
Oversees day-to-day operations and on-time delivery of testing services for I&I laboratory.
Manages equipment, schedules, instrumentation, and personnel to meet commitments to clients and department goals.
Meets client expectations on delivery of testing services.
Contributes to a global approach to continuous improvement, quality standards and innovation within the department.
Provides managerial leadership to the local department staff and participates as a key member of the I&I Leadership Team, assisting in the development and implementation of global operational strategies.
Communicates the goals and strategies of Global I&I to the operations staff.
Manages all day-to-day delivery of I&I services
Advises Study Direction and Management where modifications to current Labcorp working practices or analytical equipment are necessary.
Contributes with counterparts in North America and Europe to optimize procedures across sites.
Education:
Master’s degree in science preferred or Bachelor’s degree in science with equivalent years of experience.
