The Surgical Nurse Care Coordinator builds upon related professional experience and follows a caseload of patients working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff and other health care providers to plan, implement and evaluate care, schedule procedures, and provide education for patients, families, students and staffing the Surgical Clinics. S/He is an active participant in an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care in the Surgical clinics. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
