Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Pulmonologist to join our healthcare team at MidHudson Regional Hospital. As a Per Diem Pulmonologist, you will play a key role in providing patient care both within the hospital and in the outpatient setting. This flexible position will allow you to contribute your expertise on an as-needed basis, ensuring the highest standard of respiratory care for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Expertise: Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of pulmonary conditions and diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Inpatient Care: Round on hospitalized patients with pulmonary-related conditions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and actively participate in treatment planning.
- Outpatient Care: Conduct outpatient assessments and develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Perform procedures, including bronchoscopy, and thoracentesis, as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patient encounters, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including respiratory therapists, nurses, and specialists, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Completion of a Pulmonary Medicine fellowship program.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in pulmonology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Shift/Status:
This is a per diem position and the needs at this time are only for daytime coverage on weekdays (Mon-Fri).
