The role you’ll contribute:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational duties under the direction of the physician and/or clinical leader. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

oMonitors physicians’ schedules, organizes patient care by having the patient prepared and ready on time for the physician visit. Rooms patients including vital signs, reason for visit, patient history, allergies, and completes appropriate documentation following nursing protocols. Assists the physician with examination and procedures that he/she performs. Maintains open communication to ensure quality care.
oDocuments and administers immunizations and therapeutic injections, as well as medications, under the supervision of the physician.
oRegularly audits ordered tests to ensure results are received and followed up on in a timely manner to ensure quality health care.
oCovers Triage calls and ensures calls are answered timely and documented appropriately. Calls in prescriptions when needed.
oAdministers IV’s and accepts physician orders by phone and verbally.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Minimum qualifications:
oHigh school degree or equivalent
oGraduate of Licensed Practical Nursing school
oCurrent active LPN license in the state of Florida
oBLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred:
oIV certification
Knowledge and Skills required:
oComprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practices
oVital signs
oBody substance isolation
oSpecimen collection
