Pulmonologist

Olympic Medical Physicians, a physician-led, multispecialty medical group associated with the Olympic Medical Center in the coastal Washington communities of Sequim and Port Angeles, is hiring a board certified/board eligible pulmonary physician to serve a growing population.  

This is a uniquely positioned physician-centric group practice where you will have the autonomy to practice as you see fit in an outpatient setting— integrating diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination into a single nature-inspired location with on-site imaging, pharmacy, behavioral health, and laboratory services.  An opportunity to work in critical care medicine also is available.  Highlights of the practice include lifestyle-balancing 4-day work week with no call; primarily outpatient-focused practice with inpatient consultations only to hospitalist team; robust procedure support with state-of-the art bronchoscopy equipment; leadership opportunities for the motivated individual.

Consistently cited as one of the best places to live in the United States, the picturesque communities of the North Olympic Peninsula are renowned for their high quality of life. Surrounded by water on 3 sides and nestled at the foot of the Olympic Mountain Range (“where the mountains meet the sea”), the Olympic Peninsula is characterized by its diverse range of ecosystems and microclimates. Residents love the Olympic Discovery Trail, a 135-mile multi-use path that traverses the crystal blue waters of the Puget Sound along the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Pacific Coast as well as an excellent network of public parks and over a dozen municipal golf courses. Recreational opportunities such as hiking, sailing, camping, skiing, kayaking or cycling are all minutes away. Over a dozen award-winning wineries line the Olympic Peninsula Winery Trail.  For afficionados of the arts, the Olympic Peninsula is known for its local playhouses, theaters, orchestras, and galleries, as well as for cultural events such as the world-famous Lavender Festival held each July.  In 2023, a 56-million dollar, 800-seat waterfront performing arts and events center opened with the goal of bringing talented acts to the area.  For those with more cosmopolitan tastes, the Olympic Peninsula is only 60 minutes to the metropolitan Seattle region and a short ferry ride to Victoria, Canada (a truly international city that boats the second oldest Chinatown after San Francisco in all of North America).

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine 
• US ACGME Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine
• Washington medical license, or the ability to obtain one 
• Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis
