UCHealth Medical Group is adding a Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our APP team. Be a part of growing a thoracic surgical program out of our hospitals in both Loveland (Medical Center of the Rockies) and Fort Collins (Poudre Valley Hospital) and be on the cutting edge of building UCHealth's Northern Colorado full-spectrum general thoracic surgery program covering a wide geographic area with a high volume of cases.
*Medical Center of the Rockies is embarking on building a new patient care tower including four more operating rooms and doubling the intensive care unit to 50 beds.
*The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a fast-paced, high volume, & high producing cardiovascular service line.
*Opportunity to practice out of a Level I Trauma Center with access to multiple fully-functional daVinci Xi robots.
*EPIC EMR utilized system-wide.
*The position will rotate between the Loveland, Fort Collins, and Greeley.
*The position includes hospital and clinic shifts.
*Flexible schedule of four 10-hour/days with rotating on-call.
REQUIRED:
*2-3 years of Thoracic First Assist experience and ICU patient management.
*Thorough understanding of devices
*Robotics experience required.
*Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, works well in a team environment, and is adaptable.
REQUIRED: Family Nurse Practitioner candidates must have full prescriptive authority to be considered for this position.

Requirements for Physician Assistants
* Master's degree in physician assistant studies
* Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
* Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment
* Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
* Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
* Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
* Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
* Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
* Master's degree in nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
* Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
* Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
* Full prescriptive authority

* The pay range for this full-time position is $140,649 - $188,424 annually. Pay is dependent upon relevant experience. If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered.
