The Heart Institute at Stony Brook Medicine is seeking an outstanding Consultative and/or Non-Invasive Imaging cardiologist to help expand and shape cardiovascular services on the East End of Long Island. This is a unique opportunity where leadership in patient care, program development, and access to advanced services will have a direct and lasting impact on the community. The successful applicant would:

• Play a leading role in the growth of a thriving general cardiology practice and cardiovascular imaging service in a region with expanding demand and rapid population growth.
• Enjoy a balance of outpatient and inpatient cardiology clinical care responsibilities with opportunities to interpret echocardiograms, perform TEEs, and cardiac imaging.

Candidates should:

• Be board-certified/eligible in cardiovascular disease.
• May also be Level II-III certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and MRI.
• Have at least 1-2 years of post-fellowship experience in independent PCI/STEMI call coverage.
• Be comfortable managing a high-volume general cardiology practice, including outpatient visits and noninvasive diagnostics.
• Collaborate within a highly collegial, team-based environment where communication and shared decision-making are valued.
• Desire to live in proximity to the East End, South Fork or North Fork of Long Island to ensure close community engagement.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MD, DO or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease. Excellence in clinical care and teaching in cardiology (inpatient and outpatient). U.S. work authorization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Level II training in echocardiography or advanced imaging, including nuclear training.
