Post-Doctoral Scholar
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking to hire a Post-Doctoral Scholar for the Gerber/Sasse Lab. Our lab is focused on improving therapeutics for lung disease through studying the genetic and molecular basis of inflammation and airway cell differentiation as a scientific team. Experimental approaches include analysis of molecular/genetic responses to air pollution, nicotine, glucocorticoids and cytokines in airway smooth muscle and airway epithelial cells. Multi-omics methods are utilized, including ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq and genome editing to determine the role of specific factors in airway cell differentiation and disease processes, including IPF, asthma and COPD.
