The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full time ABA board certified/eligible Anesthesiologist with training or experience in Critical Care to join our growing practice in Minneapolis, MN. Academic rank, compensation and appointment track will be based on qualifications and experience.
Position Highlights:
- Collegial department of more than 60 Anesthesiologists including 9 Critical Care faculty.
- ICU staffing of CTICU, SICU and two community Med/Surg ICUs
- All faculty members have protected academic time to pursue educational, quality, service, or research interests.

About the Department:
Here in the Department of Anesthesiology, we are driven to eliminate pain, improve patient outcomes and train the next generation of anesthesiologists. Our department cultivates a culture of inquiry, where best medical practices are determined through clinical and scientific methods as well as translational investigation.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency and/or fellowship training program.
- Board eligible/certified with the ABA.
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
- Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.

Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. Total annual compensation ranges from $420,000 to $575,000, inclusive of base pay plus expected incentive pay commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
