Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care to the Thoracic Oncology Surgery service to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

The APP will join a team of over 700 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

Role Overview:

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on the inpatient floor

• Provide comprehensive care to Thoracic Oncology Surgery inpatients including independent bedside procedures

• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program

• NCCPA certification

• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred

• BLS certification/ALS certification

Or

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses/registrations.

• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

• Related National NP certification

• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred

• BLS certification/ALS certification

Core Skills:

• A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions

• Effective at gaining the support and commitment of others by engaging them around your point of view and priorities

• Work collaboratively with other APPs, Nurses, and Physicians

• Flexible with scheduling and will adapt to the needs of the service.

Additional Information:

Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts, night shift, including weekends and rotating holidays.

Reporting to: Manager, APP

Pay Range: $155,500 - $197,400/annually
