The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (UICOMR) seeks a board-certified physician to serve as medical director of Correctional Medicine. This full-time position includes 10-20% direct patient care at our county jail while serving as the medical director of Correctional Medicine, overseeing a robust full-time medical enterprise at our 1,000+ inmate facility and juvenile detention center. Additional duties in our academic department include clinical care and faculty supervision of medical students and residents in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities in education, research, and leadership.  The Winnebago County Jail, located in downtown Rockford, Illinois, is one of the largest jails in the state, with a capacity of approximately 1,324 bed
