Nationwide Children’s Hospital Toledo is currently seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join their existing team located in Toledo, Ohio. As an extension of their current collaborative partnership, Nationwide Children’s Hospital acquired Mercy Health Children’s Hospital effective March 1, 2022, and transitioned to Nationwide Children’s Toledo.
The two health systems will continue to collaborate beyond this transition via population health initiatives and research integration, with the overarching goal of providing high quality health care to children and their families. The successful candidate will join 5 board-certified pediatric hospitalists who currently staff the Toledo location. This team provides 24/7 coverage for the inpatient pediatric service with both day and night shifts as well as some coverage of the well-baby nursery. PICU and NICU units are also on site. The team is open to the option of hiring a nocturnist, if desired. Current day shifts are 9 hours and night shifts are 15 hours.
This is a rewarding opportunity for the right Pediatric Hospitalist physician to be part of a well-respected team. The position will include responsibility for teaching residents (Pediatric and Family Medicine) as well as medical students. There are multiple opportunities for growth to lead committees in different areas of interest. No delivery attendance required.
Qualified candidates must be board certified/ board eligible in Pediatrics, patient-centered and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric care. The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
