The Division of Pulmonary Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh is seeking a pediatric pulmonologist to join our faculty on the clinician educator pathway. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The Division of Pulmonary Medicine currently has 19 full-time faculty members, including 13 pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine physicians, and 9 advanced practice providers. The Division has an outstanding career development program for its dedicated clinician educators.
Our pulmonologists have broad clinical and research interests, including interstitial lung disease, lung transplantation, pulmonary vascular disease, neuromuscular diseases, sleep disorders, cystic fibrosis, and asthma. The hospital has a well-equipped procedure center for bronchoscopies, a pulmonary function (including infant pulmonary function testing) and exercise laboratory, a nationally recognized Cystic Fibrosis Center, severe asthma clinic, an active sleep clinic and an 8-bed AASM-accredited sleep laboratory.
The Division has a strong ACGME-accredited training program in pediatric pulmonology with 6 fellows, with joint conferences and research activities. Our education mission extends beyond our fellows-in training to include pediatric residents and medical students.

The successful applicant will be responsible for seeing patients at the Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic and have particular interest or expertise in conditions including but not limited to primary ciliary dyskinesia and cystic fibrosis. Other responsibilities include teaching the fellows, residents, and students and serving as the attending on the Pulmonary Inpatient/Consult Service.
