RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute are Seeking a Radiation Oncologist in Central New Jersey
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute, is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a highly specialized, multidisciplinary oncology team supporting programs at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.
This opportunity offers the ability to practice within New Jersey's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, working alongside nationally recognized physicians, researchers, and oncology specialists in a collaborative and academically driven environment. The incoming physician will join a state-of-the-art radiation oncology program dedicated to delivering advanced, evidence-based cancer care while supporting continued program growth and innovation across the region.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive radiation oncology care including evaluation, treatment planning, simulation, treatment delivery, and follow-up care
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical program development and growth initiatives
- Maintain communication with referring physicians and care teams throughout the continuum of care
- Work collaboratively with palliative care, psychology, social work, rehabilitation services, nutrition, nursing, physics, and dosimetry teams
- Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives that support standardization and excellence in care delivery
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies, quality standards, and professional expectations
Candidate Requirements:
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience treating Head & Neck cancers, Gynecologic cancers, and/or CNS tumors is highly desirable
NJ Pay Transparency:
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $400,000 to $550,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
